The Seventy's represent a time like no other, especially in art and creativity for me. I had just hitchhiked into Gainesville, Fl and got a part-time job at the New York Time's paper, the Gainesville Sun. Living in a tiny room sharing a bathroom with several others, I endured starvation and the hardest of times while I basked in the incredible energy that was alive at the time. There was music everywhere, I was gigging around town as Lightnin' Harpo, getting started at the Sun, and today I look back on those days as the happiest and most creative in my lifetime.
In the early seventies I wrote and illustrated several stories for Russ Martin's Gorilla Monthly Magazine, and I present three of them here on my Underground Page.
