Good time Novel Looking for an Agent

The year is 1947; no Oozies, no hoe's, no drugs, no gangs; just good music and good friends in this story from the back alleys, pool rooms and chain gangs of Southern Mississippi, where Jook comes face to face with his destiny.

In spite of being five foot-five and blind in one eye from a rooster-fight gone bad, Jook transcends it all with his music and his personality; his passion for life
a sponge waiting to be filled. I always wanted to read a novel like this, about the old-time Blues guys, but had to write my own.

Guess where I got the name for Jook's would-be girlfriend? I played guitar late one night and the next day my elbow was swollen to twice its size. The doctor told me I had BURSITIS. I was looking for a name for this character in my novel; there it was.

Jook is a bigger than life story of bigger than life characters, such as Elbow Snakeeyes, the pool hustler who picks Jook up in a stolen truck, Maria, the white girl who helps Jook escape from a chain gang, the little dog, Powder, on whom Jook and Elbow bet everything they own during one fight at the Pit, and Bursitis, with whom Jook will eventually join hands, giving the Blues a whole new reason to be sung.

I just did a final edit on this. It is ready.

If anyone out there knows Martin Scorsese, I need to talk with him about this book.

For limited time, if you enjoyed the Jook chapters, let me know and I will send you a digital version of the entire manuscript for free.
