To GALLERY I have made music video's
accompanied by my original art. Please check them out:
My Houndog Howls At Midnight (Cut and paste URL into address slot at top of browser page) For twenty years I was a newspaper illustrator, first for the Times Union in Jacksonville, Florida and later the Gainesville Sun in Gainesville, doing artwork with pen, ink and overlays. For the last decade I have been obsessed with learning to do on the computer what I had been doing for years with pens and inks, and the paintings here are samples of that effort. I rarely use the computer "tools" to draw straight lines and circles, etc., and except for the pool que in Pool Hustler and the moon in Girl With Shrimp, I pretty much draw everything freehand. I think the imperfect lines make the painting come alive. I use Photoshop 4 exclusively. I've tried to do this with later versions of Photoshop but prefer the simplicity of Photoshop 4. Because of this I use an old Mac G-4 computer with Operating System 9.2. Photoshop 4 won't work with the newer System X. I draw on a Wacom tablet. Hope you see something you like. Rudy Young R |
